Eric Haverkamp is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA). He is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA), Collaborative Divorce Texas and Collaborative Divorce Houston. Eric provides complex analyses and is responsible for the execution of a variety of valuation, litigation and other financial advisory engagements such as business valuations, goodwill valuations, purchase price allocations, economic damage opinions, inventory and appraisements, and tracings. Eric served as a senior valuation analyst at Hancock Firm prior to becoming Partner in January 2021.

In 2013, Eric earned summa cum laude honors from Texas State University while pursuing his B.B.A. in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies. Subsequent to graduation, Eric completed the Series-7-General Securities examination. Eric earned his Master of Business Administration with a focus in Corporate Finance from Rice University in December 2021.

In 2020, Eric was appointed to NACVA’s Houston State Chapter Leadership Team. This chapter was newly formed in May 2020, and he will play a pivotal role as Vice President of Local Events in the chapter’s first year.

Eric was selected as a 2021, 30 Under Thirty Honoree by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA®) and Consultants’ Training Institute (CTI®).

Outside of the firm, Eric serves in a management position on the Commercial Exhibits Committee at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Eric is also involved in various other local events and causes, including his support of Houston Young Lawyers Association. In his spare time, Eric enjoys fitness, spending time with his Dalmatian, Lucky, and exploring all the wonderful activities Houston has to offer. In 2019, Eric completed the Chevron Houston Marathon and the 47th annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta.

A proponent for collaboration, Eric agrees with John Calipari’s philosophy, “It’s not about working hard, it’s about working together. You have to care more about the team than you do about yourself.” Eric contributes to the success of Hancock Firm by means of efficient communication, coordination and collaboration with his fellow team members.
